Patrick's research interests are social and economic networks, network formation, and network games.

In particular, he studies how individual characteristics shape the decision-making of economic agents and their position in the network  with applications to phenomena such as polarization on social media or information sharing.

He obtained his PhD from the University of Antwerp and was most recently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Siena.
