Stranger danger: are we more Covid-safe around friends and family?

29 September 2021

Dr. Flavio Toxvaerd has published a new Economics Observatory article which looks at, post COVID-19, how our attitudes have changed towards spending time with people we don't know as opposed to our close family and friends.

The article goes on to explain that the more people who spend time with one another, the more likely they are to share infections. This implies that spreading the disease among those with whom we are in frequent in-person contact, friends, family and colleagues, becomes less and less likely.
